At Camp Tamias, we believe that displacement should never mean the end of a young scientist’s journey. War disrupts lives, homes, and classrooms, but it cannot diminish a student’s intellectual curiosity or their drive to discover. Through our Ukrainian Refugee Initiative, we are fully committed to making meaningful scientific opportunities accessible to students who have been forced to flee their homes due to the conflict in Ukraine. This initiative goes beyond traditional financial aid. We provide comprehensive scholarships, dedicated research mentorship, and fully integrated learning pathways designed to give these resilient young minds a sense of stability, continuity, and belonging. By pairing displaced students with experienced mentors and welcoming them into our collaborative research community, we aim to build an environment where they can safely channel their energy into hands-on exploration. Science flourishes when diverse minds collaborate. Our goal is to ensure that these bright young researchers are not left behind, providing them with the vital resources and community support they need to keep exploring, innovating, and shaping a better future.
