Peer-2-Peer instruction

One of the most effective ways to deepen understanding is to teach others. In our peer-to-peer instruction model, advanced students take an active role in mentoring younger participants during research activities and workshops. This structure strengthens the learning community at Camp Tamias: younger students gain approachable guidance, while mentors reinforce their own knowledge, develop leadership skills, and experience the collaborative nature of real scientific work.

Courses

Our campers are students ages 10–15 who are curious, motivated, and ready to engage seriously with challenging material.

Beginning at age 12, students may attend independently. Younger campers attend with a parent. For families who travel together, we provide private accommodations.
