Coding & Python Program Coordinator

Elena Rubin is a certified mathematics educator and curriculum coordinator with over a decade of teaching experience across public, charter, and specialized enrichment programs. She holds a New York State certificate in secondary mathematics, is completing her Master of Arts in Teaching at CUNY Queens College, and is extending her credentials into Computer Science. In her current school roles, she teaches advanced courses including Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Pre-Calculus, specializing in preparing students for high-stakes examinations and advanced academic tracks.

Elena has been a foundational pillar of Camp Tamias since its inception, overseeing and supervising the Python instruction team while leading interdisciplinary hands-on math and art workshops. Combining her analytical background in financial management with a passion for inclusive, tech-driven instruction, she excels at designing structured, engaging coding pathways that build logical reasoning and long-term academic confidence in young learners.
