I want to express my deepest gratitude to the creators of this camp. I truly believe it is a paradise for children who are passionate about science and find it difficult to meet like-minded peers at school, as was the case with my son.
As he said, this camp offers a wonderful balance of learning, science, and fun. It greatly lifted his spirit, brought him joy, and inspired him in so many ways.
I wish all the incredibly talented teachers and organizers of this camp continued success, so that many more children can have the opportunity to experience this amazing program.

The most child and parent friendly camp I know. The week long session has a perfect structure and balance of educational and sports/outdoor activities. The daily classes include a selection of programming languages that you can choose from, biology, math, arts&crafts, and lectures. All activities are oriented by age and skill level, so every child feels comfortable and included. The camp stuff is very on-hand, helpful and attentive, it is safe for a teenager to attend the camp. The lodging is good, plenty of food that's pretty healthy with variety of options. My shy teenage daughters were able to make friends in this camp whom they have been chatting to since then. Looking forward to going to Camp Tamias next summer! And that would be our 5th time!
This summer my son spent two terrific!!!! weeks at Camp Tamias. His mornings were dedicated to programming in Python — the classes were taught by wonderful, bright teenagers who managed to inspire and guide the kids. After lunch, he attended fascinating science lessons: in biology, for example, they extracted natural dyes from plants and used them to color fabrics, and in another class they learned to take microphotographs of leaves and flowers.
Beyond the academics, there was a perfect balance of fun and creativity: swimming, sports, and most importantly — a lot of genuine friendship and communication. My son even took the lead role in a theater production based on Robert Sheckley’s story “The Cabbage”, and also starred as Sherlock Holmes in a camp film.
This camp combines learning, creativity, and play in the most natural way. My son came home not only with new knowledge and skills, but also with wonderful memories and new friends. We are very grateful to the organizers and teachers for making this summer so special!
My son spent two unforgettable weeks at Camp Tamias this summer! The academic program in coding and science is phenomenal. The faculty and students are friendly and enthusiastic. The facilities are very comfortable. He wanted to sign up for next summer immediately after coming home. Thank you, Camp Tamias, for the wonderful experience!
